Vehicle Specifications and Features

Despite the pricing adjustments, the Swift retains its core specifications and features. It continues to be powered by a robust 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 90 horsepower and 113Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The design and mechanical aspects of the car remain unchanged, emphasizing Maruti Suzuki's confidence in the enduring appeal of the Swift's current design and engineering.

Strategy Behind the Temporary Price Hike

The price increase is temporary and is intended to be in effect for just about a month as the next-gen Swift's launch approaches. This pricing strategy is commonly used by automakers to manage the transition between outgoing models and new releases. It helps in moderating the impact of the price increase that typically accompanies newly launched models, preparing the market and the consumers for the new product pricing.
