Maruti Suzuki Invicto MPV Bookings Open For Rs 25,000 in India

Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for its new Invicto MPV at a token amount of Rs 25,000. Buyers can reserve the Invicto through Maruti Suzuki's website or the Nexa dealership network. The Invicto is a new model for Maruti Suzuki and will be positioned above the Ertiga in the company's lineup.

The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is expected to be launched in India on July 5, 2023. It will compete with the likes of the Toyota Innova Crysta, the Honda Mobilio, and the Mahindra Marazzo. The Invicto is expected to be priced above Rs 20 lakh mark making it the first for Maruti.

The Invicto will have a different grille, bumper, headlights, taillights, and alloy wheels. The grille will have two chrome slats, with one extending into the headlights. The bumper will be slightly reworked, and the headlights and taillights will have new inserts. The alloy wheels will be unique to the Invicto.

The Invicto will have minor tweaks to the upholstery and changes to the features list. The upholstery will be made of different materials, and the features list will be shorter than the Hycross's. Maruti Suzuki may exclude some ADAS components or perhaps the full kit.

The changes to Invicto's exterior and interior design are intended to make it look more premium and to differentiate it from the Hycross. The changes to the features list are intended to keep costs in check.

The Invicto will be available with a choice of two powertrains. Higher-end trims will get a 183 hp, 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain mated to an e-CVT, while entry-level trims will get a 173 hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to a CVT.

The Invicto will be produced at Toyota's Bidadi plant alongside the Hycross. This is because the two vehicles share the same platform and powertrain. Maruti Suzuki will have to pay a royalty to Toyota for using its technology, which means that the Invicto's pricing will likely be more premium than the equivalent Hycross variant.
