Update: Mahindra XUV700 4x4 (New Rexton) has been spied again, this time testing its off-road skills around an unknown sand dune in India. The car seen here is finished in the Black shade and after certain levels of exercise, it was brought back to service center for a routine checkup.
It seems like Mahindra is rigorously testing the car to achieve perfection in this segment. The test mule seen here was carrying black Rexton style grille while production spec Mahindra XUV700 will bring the same grille that was first seen at Auto Expo 2018. Pricing the same under Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner can bring them loads of success in this seven-seat full-size SUV segment.

XUV700 Spotted Testing in India: After introducing 2018 Mahindra XUV500 from INR 12.32 lakh, India’s number one UV manufacturer is all set to prepare for another premium product. None other than Rexton, this full sized Mahindra SUV was spied testing on Indian roads
It was called Mahindra Rexton on Auto Expo 2018 while Mahindra XUV700 is another potential name for this full spec premium offering. Present generation XUV500 ends at INR 18.98 lakh for all wheel drive and automatic gearbox equipped model, leaving a large section empty for Rexton before Ford Endeavour at INR 26,32,800 and Toyota Fortuner at INR 27,80,000.

Mahindra XUV700 is simply amazing in terms of size as 4850 mm of length, 1960 mm width and 1825 mm of height makes it truly stand proud among competition. Wheelbase measures 2865 mm while ground clearance is equally impressive at 224 mm. Gross vehicle weight for Rexton is 2960 kg.
It comes powered by 2157 cc, four cylinder diesel engine producing 181 PS at 4000 rpm and 420 Nm at 1600-2200 rpm. Buyers will get an efficient seven speed automatic gearbox. Pulling power is even amazing as brake equipped trailer weighing 3500 kg can be pulled with this upcoming Mahindra Rexton.
Fuel tank make feel smaller for this segment as 70 liters of fuel will offer smaller range than other cars of this segment. Four wheel drive comes standard on XUV700, helping buyers enjoy benefits of shift on fly system on multiple terrain drives.
Front HID lights, LED fog lamps, LED rear combination lamp with light guides and LED daytime running lights are offered as standard on their new car.
