LiveWire S2 Mulholland Electric Bike Debuts with Impressive 195km Range

LiveWire, the electric division of Harley-Davidson, has unveiled its third model, the S2 Mulholland, which shares its battery pack with the S2 Del Mar. The S2 Mulholland boasts an impressive 84hp and 263Nm of torque and features six riding modes, four of which are preset and two customizable.

LiveWire S2 Mulholland: Range, Power, and Weight

The S2 Mulholland is powered by the same 10.5kWh battery pack as the S2 Del Mar but offers slightly different range numbers. It claims a city range of 195km, a highway range of 116km at a steady speed of 88kph, and a combined range of 105km. In comparison, the S2 Del Mar's range figures stand at 180km, 137km, and 112km, respectively.

Weighing in at 196kg (kerb), the S2 Mulholland is 1.7kg lighter than the S2 Del Mar. It also features different tire sizes, with a 19/17-inch combination (front/rear) compared to the Del Mar's 19-inch wheels. These differences likely contribute to the variance in range figures despite sharing the same battery capacity. A full charge takes 9.1 hours with a Level 1 charger, which reduces to 2 hours and 22 minutes with a Level 2 charger.

While the peak output figures are the same as the S2 Del Mar's, the S2 Mulholland's top speed and acceleration times are slightly slower, with a claimed 0-96kph time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 159kph.

Design and Specifications

The S2 Mulholland features a cruiser-like design with a round LED headlight, an upswept handlebar, and a low-slung seat. The headlight and turn indicators are similar to those on the LiveWire One, and the bar-end mirrors add a custom touch.

The suspension system includes fully adjustable front forks and a rear mono-shock with adjustable preload and rebound damping, supplied by Hitachi. Braking is handled by a single Brembo M4.32 monobloc caliper at the front, with dual-channel ABS as standard.

A 4-inch circular TFT display offers Bluetooth connectivity, voice command, and text-to-speech functionality once paired with a smartphone. Riding modes include Sport, Road, Range, Rain, and two fully customizable modes. Traction control and regenerative braking are adjustable in the custom modes, with the option to turn off traction control completely.

Pricing and Availability

Priced at USD 15,999 (approximately Rs 13.33 lakh), the LiveWire S2 Mulholland sits just above the S2 Del Mar, priced at USD 15,499 (approximately Rs 12.92 lakh), but remains more affordable than the flagship LiveWire One, priced at USD 22,799 (approximately Rs 19 lakh). So far, none of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire models have been launched in India, and it's yet to be seen if that will change in the future.
