A new V12 supercar is set to hit Indian shores tomorrow, and the new entrant, the Lamborghini Revuelto, is none other than the replacement of the legendary Aventador! The new flagship from Sant’Agata Bolognese made its global debut some time ago, but is now finally making its way to India, where it will be sold alongside the Huracan and Urus SUV. There’s lots going on with the first plug-in hybrid powered production-Lambo, and here’s a quick lowdown on it before its debut tomorrow:

Lambo gonna Lambo
The Revuelto is surely and immediately recognisable as a Lamborghini, and people might even be drawing parallels with the Aventador. But look closer and you’ll find that the Revuelto is actually a very inspired car, borrowing cues from within the family from the likes of the Sian and Centenario. The familiar elements come in the form of the Y-shaped LED DRLs and the LED taillights as well. In typical Lambo fashion, you get scissor doors, while the engine has a small peek from behind the cockpit. Sharp angular elements define the whole car and mind you, this is just the start of the line for the Revuelto. Imagine what an SVJ derivative might look like! And even though the cabin might be familiar, it feels like Lamborghini Revuelto has made it more ‘friendly’ to spend time in. It still looks purpose built, but with some comforts sprinkled in. Digital screens are plentiful with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster for the driver, an 8.4-inch for the infotainment, and a 9.1-inch display for the passenger.
V12 goodness redefined
One of the main nerve-wrecking talking points before the Revuelto broke cover was whether it’ll retain the V12 engine or not. And it did, but with a caveat: Lambo paired the 6.5-litre V12 with a plug-in hybrid unit consisting of three electric motors, for a staggering 1015 PS! An eight-speed DCT transfers that power to all four wheels.
On the way to its top speed of 349 kmph, the Revuelto can hit 0-100 kmph in just 2.5 seconds. Oh, and you can also start and drive it in Pure EV mode for a distance of up to 10 km. A sound-less Lambo might sound bizarre, but those are the times we’re living in! Fret not, it’ll still shout at the top of its lungs when you want it to, and you can even customise your drive setting via 13 different driving modes. The Aventador before this was priced at around Rs 5 crore, but for all the advancements made by the Revuelto, don’t be surprised if Lamborghini quotes a heftier price tag. It’ll be one of the handful of V12-powered cars when it lands in India, and will rival the likes of the Ferrari SF90.
Lamborghini is all set to launch the Revuelto supercar in India on December 6, 2023. The model was globally unveiled some time ago and is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrains, marking it the first series Lambo to get an electrified powertrain. It serves as the successor to the Aventador, and here's a brief preview of the car ahead of its launch. The Revuelto's design is fresh and true to Lamborghini's tradition. It features an angular front end with edgy yet muscular panels and Y-shaped LED DRLs that outline the headlight housing with large air dams below, drawing inspiration from the Lamborghini Sian. Additionally, the LED taillights, while not identical, do share some resemblance with those found on the Lamborghini Centenario.
