Kove 400RR 4-Cylinder Sports Bike Makes Official Debut

Kove recently unveiled the new 400RR sportbike in its home country. Despite its small 400cc displacement, the 400RR is quite a unique proposition. It is because of the inline four-cylinder engine layout that they are offering.

Rumours suggest Kawasaki is considering entering this market with the new Ninja ZX-4R. It is expected to have a high-revving four-cylinder engine, like the current ZX-25R.

Kove 400RR is powered by a dual-overhead-camshaft, inline-four engine. It has been developed in-house by the company. According to the manufacturer, this unit produces 67 bhp at 13,500rpm and 36 Nm of peak torque at 12,000rpm. Furthermore, despite weighing only 160kg, it has a commendable top speed of 220 km/h.

The 400RR is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and an aluminium gullwing-style swingarm. Damping is handled by USD forks and a mono-shock. While the braking is handled by a pair of front discs and a single rear rotor. The bike appears to be a mash-up of several sports bikes.

While the front looks like a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, the fuel tank and fairing shape look like a Ducati SuperSport. Meanwhile, the tail is reminiscent of the Keeway K300R. Kove has yet to reveal the 400RR's pricing and availability in the Chinese market. It will not be arriving on our shores anytime soon.
