Kinetic Luna Is Coming Back - Here Are The Details

The iconic Luna scooter is making a comeback, this time in an electric avatar. Kinetic Motors, the maker of the Luna, has confirmed that it is developing an electric Luna scooter for the Indian market. The new scooter, which is expected to be called the e-Luna, is said to be in the final stages of development and could be launched in India soon.

Kinetic Greens, a subsidiary of Kinetic Motors, will manufacture the electric Luna scooter. The scooter will be assembled at Kinetic Greens' plant in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The plant has a monthly production capacity of 5,000 units.

The electric Luna scooter might be powered by a 2-3kW electric motor. The motor might be paired with a lithium-ion battery pack. The battery pack may offer a range of up to 80 kilometres on a single charge.

In terms of design, the e-Luna is expected to retain the classic Luna look but with a few modern touches. The scooter is also expected to be equipped with features such as LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a USB charging port. Kinetic is yet to announce the official launch date of the e-Luna, but it is expected to be launched in India sometime in the coming weeks.

The electric Luna scooter will be priced at an affordable price point. The scooter will be targeted at the last-mile connectivity segment. The scooter will also appeal to app-based delivery drivers.

The launch of the electric Luna scooter will be a significant development for the Indian electric vehicle market. The Luna is a popular scooter in India and its electric version could help to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the country.
