Kia's 2024 EV6 Lineup Grows with More Affordable Long-Range Trims

Kia is enhancing its 2024 EV6 lineup by introducing two new trim levels, providing more options for electric vehicle enthusiasts in the U.S. These latest additions are poised to fill a sweet spot in Kia's EV6 family, nestled comfortably between the existing Light and Wind trims.

2024 EV6 Light Long Range RWD - Affordable and Efficient

The first of these new models is the 2024 EV6 Light Long Range RWD. It boasts a respectable 225 horsepower and is equipped with a substantial 77.4 kWh battery, offering an impressive 310-mile range on a single charge. Positioned between the Light and Wind trims in the EV6 family, this model comes with a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $45,950, excluding the $1,325 destination fee. While it's $3,350 more expensive than the entry-level Light RWD, which starts at $42,600, the Light Long Range RWD's extended range and power make it an appealing choice for eco-conscious drivers.

The introduction of the EV6 Light Long Range RWD allows Kia to offer a more affordable alternative to the popular Tesla Model 3 Long Range, which starts at $45,990. However, it's important to note that the Model 3 is eligible for the full $7,500 federal EV tax credit when purchased, while the EV6 qualifies for the same discount only when leased.

2024 EV6 Light Long Range AWD: Adding All-Wheel Drive Option

For those looking for the added confidence of all-wheel drive, Kia also introduces the 2024 EV6 Light Long Range in an all-wheel drive configuration. This version is priced at $49,850, representing a $3,900 premium over its rear-wheel drive counterpart. With an increased power output of 320 horsepower, the trade-off is a slightly reduced range of 282 miles.

2024 EV6 GT: A Boost in Range and Power

Kia's 2024 EV6 GT flagship model, known for its remarkable 576 horsepower, now boasts an improved all-electric range of 218 miles. This is a 12-mile increase over the 2023 EV6 GT, providing more peace of mind for those who crave high performance and longer journeys.

In addition to these new trims and range enhancements, Kia has added a convenient feature across all EV6 models. They've incorporated standard charge port lighting and charge door marking, aimed at simplifying access and usage for EV owners. This thoughtful touch further enhances the ownership experience of the 2024 Kia EV6 lineup.
