Kia Seltos Name Confirmed for India-Bound SP2i SUV

Kia Seltos is the confirmed name for the upcoming SP2i SUV and the first product from Kia Motors in India. The name is derived from Greek god Celtus, who was the son of Hercules according to the mythology. The S moniker seen here stands for three factors namely speed, sportiness and strength. The car remains more or less similar to the concept, watering down just a few design elements and keeping rest to bring a smart product. The spy shots from an advertisement shoot have already confirmed the stance and design lines of the car. The alloy wheels on the car measure 18-inch while tire size is very impressive at 225/45. The alloy wheels retain their dual tone nature while the Tiger Nose grill looks excellent for an SUV of this size. The front is futuristic and well-balanced while side profile flaunts attitude from every crease and curve. Undoubtedly, Kia Seltos not just looks more premium but, also has some Range Rover-inspired attitude in its built. The car spotted for the first time was painted White and had a gloss black roof. The sporty nature was further elevated with black wing mirrors and chrome door handles. The impressive roofline makes the fact clear that Kia is willing to take down everything from Hyundai Creta to Tata Harrier. We have spent a lot of time in perfecting our car to suit the taste of the Indian customers and I am glad that this originally India intended car is so perfect that it compelled us to make Seltos available globally. The car looks absolutely stunning and very closely matches the SP concept we showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. I am confident that Kia Seltos would be an outright favourite when it hits the roads in the next few months.”, said Mr Manohar Bhat, Head – Marketing and sales, Kia Motors India.
