The recently spied Kia EV9 is seen without any camouflage, painted in a striking pearlescent black color. The car's identity is further obscured by the fact that it does not have any variant badging. A quick look inside reveals beige interiors that may be enhanced by a black dashboard. Anticipated to debut as a fully-loaded model, the EV9 is expected to offer a host of premium features, including dual-digital displays, multi-zone climate control, level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), power second-row seats, power tailgate, and advanced connected car technology.

The India-spec Kia EV9 is likely to be available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations, catering to different driving preferences and terrains. A single charge of the EV9 is expected to provide enough mileage for both long-distance and daily trips with an anticipated range of 400–500 kilometers. All variants are anticipated to feature three rows of seating, with the 4WD GT-line offering an optional six-seat configuration. As the first three-row electric vehicle in India, the EV9 aims to set new standards in the electric SUV segment.

Pricing and Market Strategy

Pricing for the Kia EV9 is expected to position it as a premium offering in the market, with an estimated starting price of around Rs. 90 lakh. Initially introduced as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), Kia may transition to a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) assembly if there is sufficient demand from consumers. Kia is committed to providing state-of-the-art electric vehicles while maintaining its competitiveness in the changing Indian automotive market, as seen by the EV9's pricing plan.
