Kawasaki to Launch New Bike in India on July 7

Kawasaki India is ready to launch a new product on July 7, 2017. Mystery remains on the name of that product as Kawasaki could launch anyone out of the 2017 Ninja 1000 and Versys-X 300 in India. Chances of introducing the Vulcan series are the least but cannot be ignored due to high interest in the 650cc segment by Kawasaki. The product launch news came when Kawasaki sent media invites for a major model launch next month. - front

Small capacity adventure tourer segment is witnessing an increase in interest and that makes X300 as the most impressive option for the Indian market. All other liter class bikes have got their respective year updates and Ninja 1000 is the last one to get updated and dress up in new clothes for the Indian market. However, Kawasaki may not have listed it as a new product launch, raising suspicion about the entry of Kawasaki Vulcan though the CKD route.

The off-road oriented Versys-X 300 is good for 40 PS at 11500 rpm and 25.7 Nm at 10000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and may get placed as the only adventure twin cylinder motorcycle in India. Kawasaki Vulcan uses a 649cc, twin cylinder engine producing 61 BHP at 7500 rpm and 63 Nm at 6600 rpm. It will complete the Kawasaki 650cc series with total four models on offer. Ninja 1000, on the other hand, needs a minor update with the fairing design. It is powered by a 1043cc, four cylinder engine producing 142 PS at 10000 rpm and 111 Nm at 7300 rpm. It gets a limited top speed of 250 kmph (electronically limited) while uses a huge 19 liter fuel tank. This could only be considered a face-lift as all other motorcycles like Z1000 and Ninja H2 series. Kawasaki currently has 12 dealerships to sell a long lineup of products.
