Ather 450 Apex
The upcoming Ather 450 Apex will be a more premium version of the 450X. It gets a new Warp+ mode that’s supposed to be even more insane than the Warp mode. It is also likely to get multi-level regen braking and transparent panels. Bookings are open for the electric scooter and will likely get a price tag of Rs 1.60 lakh .
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be launched this month after its unveiling in December 2023. The single-seat setup, redesigned fuel tank and the chopped rear fender makes it a pretty good looking bobber and it is based on the Super Meteor 650’s platform. It is expected to be priced around the Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
Honda NX500
The all-new Honda NX500 made its debut at EICMA 2023 and is coming to India by the end of this month or in February. The successor to the Honda CB500X gets a redesigned look, TFT instrument console, traction control and powering it is a 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine churning out 47.5PS and 43Nm. It is expected to get a price tag of Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hero MotoCorp
Hero MotoCorp has been organising the Hero World event early in the year, and this time around, we expect the world’s largest bikemaker to unveil or showcase or perhaps even launch some of its upcoming products. Here’s a quick lowdown on what we can expect:
Hero Xtreme 210R
The upcoming Hero Xtreme 210R will get an aggressive-looking headlight design with sharp tank extensions and a muscular fuel tank design. It will most likely be powered by the Karizma XMR’s 210cc, liquid-cooled engine. It is most likely to fetch a price tag of Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom). This will be the most natural progression for Hero in the 210cc platform, which will allow the brand to garner an even wider audience, thanks to the streetfighter genre’s inherent versatility.
Hero Xpulse 210
The Hero Xpulse 210 will also be powered by the Karizma XMR’s liquid-cooled engine and will come with all-LED lighting while the rest of the profile from the spy shots look similar to that of the XPulse 200 4V. It is expected to be priced around the Rs 1.90 lakh, ex-showroom, mark. The Hero XPulse 200 isn’t all that great at high-speed cruising, so the upcoming 210cc iteration should help in sorting out that shortcoming.
Hero Xtreme 125R
The upcoming Hero Xtreme 125R gets a beefy and aggressive looking front-end along with fuel tank extensions. It gets a split-seat setup and split grab rails. It will most likely be powered by the Glamour’s 125cc, fuel-injected engine and the price tag is expected to be Rs 95,000, ex-showroom. This should give Hero enough firepower to take on other premium 125cc bikes such as the TVS Raider 125 and the Bajaj Pulsar NS125.
Hero Xoom 160
Hero MotoCorp unveiled its first adventure scooter, the Xoom 160 at EICMA 2023 and it is powered by a 156cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 14PS and 13.7Nm. It gets a very sporty and aggressive maxi-scooter styling with dual-chamber LED headlight and split LED taillight setup. Hero is expected to showcase the adventure scooter this month, with launch likely in March. The price tag is expected to be Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The closest liquid-cooled alternative in the segment would be the Yamaha Aerox 155.
Hero Xoom 125R
The manufacturer will foray into the competitive sporty 125cc scooter segment with the Xoom 125R. It is powered by an all-new 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 9.4PS and 10.16Nm and gets a fully-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Along with the Xoom 160, Hero is also expected to showcase the Xoom 125R this month. As far as the launch timeline is concerned, it could hit the roads in March and will probably get a price tag of Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
