Indian Motorcycle has introduced a major overhaul of its Scout lineup for 2025 featuring significant updates to the engine and frame. This marks the first full-scale revamp since Polaris acquired the iconic American motorcycle brand.
Engine and Performance
The 2025 Indian Scout range is powered by a new liquid-cooled, 1,250cc V-Twin engine, dubbed the SpeedPlus. This engine replaces the outgoing 1,133cc motor delivering enhanced performance with 105hp at 7,250rpm and 109Nm at 6,300rpm. The range-topping 101 Scout variant boasts even higher output figures of 111hp and 111Nm.
Chassis and Design
A new tubular steel frame has been introduced to accommodate the updated engine, with a more discreetly positioned radiator. The design continues to prioritize maintaining the Scout's iconic aesthetic.
Variants and Trims
The 2025 Scout lineup offers five variants: the Bobber, Sport, Classic, Super, and the historic 101 Scout. Each variant is available in three configurations - Standard, Limited, and Limited + Tech - resulting in 15 different combinations.
- Standard: Base configuration.
- Limited: Adds more paint options, cruise control, and traction control.
- Limited + Tech: Includes a 4-inch TFT display and keyless ignition.
The Super and 101 Scout variants come standard with the Limited + Tech pack, featuring the TFT display, riding aids, and keyless ignition. The 101 Scout stands out as the sportiest model with fully adjustable suspension and radially mounted Brembo monobloc calipers for superior braking performance.
The 2025 Indian Scout lineup brings significant updates to the engine, frame, and overall design, along with a wide range of variants and trims to cater to different rider preferences. The introduction of the new SpeedPlus engine and the inclusion of advanced technology features solidify the Scout's position as a key player in the cruiser motorcycle segment.
