India-Bound Yamaha XSR155 Official Photo Gallery: Yamaha XSR155 was launched back in August 2019 in Thailand at a price tag of 91,500 Thai Baht (INR 2.15 lakhs, approximate). The bike is based on the 'Sports Heritage' lineup of the brand that currently features XSR700 and the XSR900. According to the latest buzz, it is being rumoured that Yamaha will be launching the XSR155 in the Indian markets by the end of 2021 while one can expect the motorcycle to be priced around INR 1.60 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Powering the XSR155 is a 155.1cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine inspired by the
R15 V3. In terms of the technical specifications, one can expect it to churn out 18.6HP of maximum power at 10,000 rpm along with 14.1Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm, similar to the output figures generated by the BS6 R15 V3. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Taking inspiration from the styling bits of XSR700 and XSR900, the Yamaha XSR 155 features the same round headlight and taillight. The round LCD instrument console further adds to its retro styling. The motorcycle measures 2000mm in length, 805mm in width, and 1080mm in height.
