Honda has introduced the 2024 version of the Dax in the European market, bringing a fresh aesthetic update to the mini-moped while maintaining its existing mechanical components and design. The highlight of the update is the addition of a new paint scheme, Pearl Glittering Blue, providing a distinctive visual appeal to the compact two-wheeler.
New Paint Scheme
The 2024 Honda Dax debuts with a vibrant Pearl Glittering Blue paint scheme. The entire vehicle is adorned in this striking blue hue, complemented by a black and white stripe near the tank area. This new color option joins the existing choices of Pearl Nebula Red and Pearl Cadet Grey.
While the Dax receives a fresh coat of paint, it retains its dependable mechanical configuration. Powering the mini-moped is a 124cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, generating 9.25bhp and 10.8Nm of torque. The engine is housed in a press backbone chassis, with the fuel tank seamlessly integrated into the structure.
Chassis and Suspension
The Dax features a press backbone chassis, contributing to its lightweight design, weighing just 107kg. The chassis is paired with 31mm conventional telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks, ensuring a balanced and comfortable ride.
Equipped with a reliable braking system, the Dax incorporates a 220mm front disc and a 190mm rear disc, both mounted on 12-inch cast aluminum wheels. This setup enhances braking efficiency and overall safety.
The 2024 Honda Dax has been officially launched in the European market, presenting riders with a refreshed visual appeal and maintaining its reputation for reliability.
Exclusivity to International Markets
Currently, Honda has limited the availability of the Dax to international markets, and there are no indications of an imminent launch in India. The unique characteristics of the Dax, coupled with its compact size, might limit its appeal in a market like India, where practicality and versatility often take precedence.
In the UK market, the 2024 Honda Dax is priced at GBP 3,799, approximately Rs. 3.93 lakh (excluding taxes). This positioning in the premium segment might make it less accessible in a market like India, where cost-effective and utilitarian two-wheelers dominate the landscape.
The 2024 Honda Dax refresh brings a refreshing visual update to the mini-moped segment while upholding the reliability and performance that riders associate with the Dax series. As Honda continues to cater to diverse markets with specific preferences, the Dax maintains its niche appeal in the European market, offering riders a distinctive and stylish commuting option.
