Honda Activa 6G Key Specifications Leaked: Honda is all set to launch the much-awaited Activa 6G in the Indian market on January 15, 2020. Ahead of the official launch, the key technical specifications of the upcoming scooter have surfaced online. As per the leaked spec sheet, the Activa 6G will be powered by a BS6-compliant 109.51cc single-cylinder engine. In comparison, the current-gen BS4 Activa 5G is equipped with a 109.19cc engine. Like most of the recent BS6 products, the power figure of the next-gen Activa has also dropped by a slight margin. It generates 7.68HP while the current-gen model of the scooter is good for 7.96HP. The Activa 6G will most probably come equipped with fuel injection to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms, which will be implemented in India on April 1, 2020. The leaked document also reveals that Activa 6G will also be equipped with an LED headlight and an all-digital speedometer.
In terms of dimensions, the upcoming Activa 6G measures 1833mm in length, 697mm in width, and 1156mm in height. The wheelbase and the gross vehicle weight of the scooter stand at 1260mm and 283kg respectively. Honda Activa registered almost 3 million sales figures for the brand in one fiscal. The price point of the scooter, along with optional accessories, helps them get the most out of the commuter-friendly segment. The Honda Activa 6G is also expected to get smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, and may also feature turn-by-turn navigation support. The 6G model is also expected to get call-alert feature inspired by the TVS NTorq 125. Coming to the other changes, the next-gen Honda Activa will feature an external fuel filler, which would be a first for a Honda Scooter in India.
