Hero Electric Motorcycle Spotted Testing for the First Time

Hero Electric Motorcycle Spotted Ahead of Official Unveil: Hero Electric is one of the largest electric two-wheeler manufacturers and is currently planning to launch its first-ever electric motorcycle at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. The brand currently offers 5 electric scooters in its portfolio that offer a decent range as well as higher speeds. The upcoming motorcycle from the brand has been recently revealed in a new set of spy shots. Though the Hero Electric motorcycle has been neatly draped to hide its overall look, some parts of it are still visible and give an interesting insight on what to expect from the new “green” machine. The brand has offered the motorcycle with a hawkish street bike look with the addition of a bulky fuel tank design with an upswept tail section flowing towards the back. In addition to this, the electric motorcycle has been equipped with a split seat design while the handlebar unit has been offered a wider stance. The overall red colour scheme offered to the upcoming electric motorcycle further imparts it a sporty look while the knobby tyres accentuate its profile. The company claimed top speed of the Hero Electric motorcycle is expected to limit at 80kmph while the battery is expected to offer a range of 120km on a full charge. There has been no information revealed on the exact battery and motor specifications of the electric motorcycle though one can expect it to feature an IP67 rated lithium-ion battery. The spy shots of the motorcycle confirm USD forks at the front while the rear suspension will be handled by a monoshock absorber. The motorcycle is expected to feature disc brakes at either side. The upcoming bike from Hero Electric will be equipped with a complete LED headlight and taillight setup while the brand is expected to offer Bluetooth connectivity on an all-digital instrument console. The Hero Electric motorcycle is expected to be priced around INR 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched in India, the motorcycle will compete with the likes of Revolt RV 400.
