Exclusive Leak: Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 Specs with Ride Modes

Since Hero MotoCorp introduced Impulse to the Indian market, the adventure tourer market has experienced unheard-of growth. Since then, actual and fictitious ADVs have been released. The latest model in the group is the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452. For the first time, the motorcycle's specifications have leaked, providing important information.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452: Leaked Specifications

The new Himalayan 452 is built on a brand-new basis that will eventually provide several body variants. The Sherpa 450 engine is the main attraction of this motorcycle, and it is critical for Royal Enfield as it moves forward with vehicular technology and this new engine has a displacement of 452cc and a compression ratio of 11.5:1.

It is a single-cylinder engine with a 4V head and a complicated DOHC arrangement. This is also the first Royal Enfield to include a liquid-cooling design. In addition, Royal Enfield has included a 42mm throttle body. All of these characteristics contribute to a peak power of 40 PS at 8000 RPM and a peak torque of 40 Nm at 5500 RPM.

Highlight features include a slip and assist clutch, a ride-by-wire system, and a 6-speed gearbox. The Himalayan 452 has a semi-dry sump and is compatible with 10W40 semi-synthetic engine oil. The amount of oil used is not specified. Royal Enfield claims that not a single bolt on Himalayan 452 is carried over from Himalayan 411.

The new twin-spar steel tubular frame is all new and should unlock more potential in terms of off-road and on-road performance than the Himalayan 411's frame. Showa 43mm USD front forks and a rear mono-shock suspension are used to support this frame. Both ends of the suspension travel are 200 mm.

Larger dimensions and better kit

Like the current Himalayan 411, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 has a 21-inch front tire with 90/90-21 rubber and a 17-inch rear wheel with 140/80-17 rubber. Both CEAT tyres are dual-purpose. The front braking package consists of a 320 mm ventilated disc with a double-piston calliper and a 270 mm rear ventilated disc with a single-piston calliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard and switchable.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 measures 2245 mm in length, 852 mm in width, 1316 mm in height, and has a 1510 mm wheelbase. Himalayan 411 dimensions are 2190 mm long, 840 mm wide, 1370 mm tall, and 1465 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance has increased by 10 mm to 230 mm, and the overall package weighs less than the current Himalayan 411 (kerb weight).

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 Specs and Features This is impressive given the improved kit and larger engine as well as the larger 17L fuel tank. The seat's height can be adjusted between 805 mm and 825 mm.
