Evoke Motorcycles to Reportedly Launch in India Soon

Evoke Motorcycles, headquartered in China and falling under the Fame 2 scheme of the Indian government’s electric mobility scheme, has confirmed the Indian debut with an electric motorcycle. Nathan Siy, the CEO of Evoke Motorcycles has officially confirmed the entry by giving a statement to Autocar Professional. However, they have not yet revealed the product type and details as keeping the same under some covers will create the much-needed hype for the brand. They have a two-model lineup for China, US, and the UK while their third product will arrive in these markets in late 2019. The motorcycle will be a premium cruiser and cannot be their debut product due to high cost and lower target market. Evoke 6061, as they call the upcoming cruiser, is a torque-rich model with emphasis on riding comfort and environment-friendly presence. Their third platform is codenamed Project M1 and comes with an affordable placement among all other products in the lineup. As India is the world’s biggest two-wheeler market, every brand wishes to have a grand arrival for the market and cater the huge customer base with its unique set of products. Project M1 is targeting bikes with 125-150cc displacement in terms of performance and pricing. As the brand lacks any production or component facility in India, they will need to find a partner soon as importing the parts will raise the overall cost. Evoke Motorcycles have a praiseworthy battery management system as preserving battery life and keeping the rider safe at all times is the utmost important task for the software. They have a 15-min ultrafast charging mode for their products and being Euro safety standards compliant, the quality is assured at all costs. The exact period for the entry is not mentioned and neither was the product details disclosed by their CEO in the interview. Source
