Chevrolet Camaro to be Reportedly Discontinued in 2023

The report of Chevrolet Camaro being discontinued from the international market in 2023 has shocked a large number of fans around the globe. The recent report also clears that Cadillac-based frame of the car will not be used for the seventh generation model as the brand itself will switch to a new architecture and won’t share the same with Chevrolet. The sales number for Camaro is declining with time, leaving them with no option than considering some lineup shuffling before the next generation models are planned for different markets. The Camaro name has gone missing from the lineup earlier also. The recent model was introduced in 2016 and a total number of units sold in 2018 were 50,963. When compared to the Indian market numbers, the total number of Camaros sold are not that bad but for other markets, the number is significantly lower than what they had earlier. The rival Dodge Challenger posted 66,716 units while Ford Mustang was good for 75,842 units. The bestseller seems to cover the market in a better way as demand for Mustang is going up day by day. The Camaro looks great, comes with a well-balanced body and comes equipped with powerful engine options. Chevrolet Camaro starts from $25,000 (INR 17.25 lakh approx) for the 2.0L engine. Those who need more power can go for the 3.6L V6 engine or even the 6.2L V8 motor for class-leading performance. The engines can be had with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic unit. The car comes with four-wheel disc brakes and six-speaker audio system as standard. Those looking for premium options can go for Bose 9-speaker audio and sunroof as standard. The car comes with 20-inch wheels and 245/40-spec standard tires. The top model comes with 305/30-20 tires for the rear end.

Is Chevrolet Camaro Coupe suitable for Indian roads??
2022-12-29 05:37:35 AM
Chevrolet Camaro Coupe has a ground clearance of 110 mm, which is the only factor making it unsuitable for the Indian roads. No doubt it can be used easily here, but few bumps can shatter the beauty for the down side and the repairs will in turn shatter the rider. When Chevrolet will officially launch the Camaro in India, they will definitely add some millimeters.
