Powering the 2020 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is now BS6-compliant. The motorcycle continues to offer a maximum power of 24.5 HP @ 9,750 rpm while the peak torque has increased by 0.1 Nm and now stands at 18.7 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. The engine remains mated to a six-speed transmission. With the addition of a catalytic converter and a few other mechanical bits to make the sportbike BS6-compliant, the overall weight of the motorcycle has increased by 2 kgs. The microscopic increase in the torque by 0.1 Nm is not effective in increasing the performance while the additional weight may reduce it further. Apart from offering a BS6-compliant engine, the updated BS6 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 remains identical to its BS4 counterpart when it comes to the cosmetic bits and graphics. The suspension duties continue to be handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front while the rear features a nitrox gas-charged monoshock unit.
