BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Officially Launched: Bajaj Auto has officially launched its updated Pulsar 150 series that complies with the BS6 emission norms. The BS6 model of the bike is available in a standard front disc brake variant as well as a twin-disc brake variant with a single disc brake at either side. The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 comes equipped with a Fi system as standard. The presence of fuel injection will allow the bike to deliver seamless power along with optimum fuel efficiency. The BS6-compliant Pulsar 150 is available in two colour options: Black Chrome and Black Red.

Considering the prices, the BS6 variant of the Pulsar 150 is INR 8,998 more expensive than the BS4 model. The front disc variant of the bike comes priced at INR 94,956 (ex-showroom) whereas the twin-disc brake variant is priced at INR 98,835 (ex-showroom). Mr Sarang Kanade President of Bajaj Motorcycle Auto Limited said - “The introduction of these models continues the transition of our products to BS6 norms. Bajaj Auto has scaled up the range of BS6 compliant vehicles. You will see the range expand over the next few weeks. With the BS6 compliant Pulsar 150, we have ensured that it continues to deliver excellent performance while meeting the stringent BS6 standards”.

Mechanically, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 comes powered by same 149.5cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, 2-valve engine though it is now BS6-compliant. It is capable of producing 14HP of maximum power at 8500 rpm. In comparison, the BS4 model generates the same power figure but at 8000 rpm. There is a slight drop in peak torque as the BS6 model is capable of churning out 13.25Nm at 6500 rpm while the BS4 model is good for 13.4Nm @ 6000 rpm. The kerb weight of the bike has also gone up by 5kgs as the BS6 model weighs 148kg. Both the variants of updated Pulsar 150 would be available at Bajaj dealerships from February 12, 2020.
