Brand-Wise Car Sales Report (March 2020); Tata Beats Honda

The brand-wise car sales report for March 2020 has been led by Maruti Suzuki which registered a sales figure of 76,240 units. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, India's largest car manufacturer has witnessed a drop of 47% in sales when compared to the same month last year. The second position in the list has been bagged by Hyundai which was good enough to register a sales figure of 26,300 units, although posting a 41% drop in sales. The third position in the list has been marked by Kia Motors. The brand has impressed everyone with its sales figure considering that it has only two vehicles under its portfolio - Seltos and Carnival. Kia posted a sales figure of 8,583 units in the previous month. Following it is Toyota with 7,023 units on its side. The next two positions in the list have been marked by Tata Motors with 5,676 units and Honda with 3,697 units respectively. Ford bagged the seventh position in the list with a sales figure of 3,519 units. Following it is Renault by registering sales of 3,269 units for March 2020. The ninth position in the list has been marked by Mahindra with a sales figure of 3,171 units for the previous month. Considering that the nation-wide lockdown is expected to get extended till May 1, 2020, the sales numbers will drop further this month. Following is the brand-wise car sales report for March 2020.
