Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler Expected Price, Photos & Launch Date in India

On June 27, the first batch of motorcycles produced under the Bajaj-Triumph alliance will be unveiled. A street scrambler and a naked street roadster are the two body types that will be available. As per the latest details available, the India launch is expected to happen in September 2023.

Triumph's Speed Twin 900 and other famous Bonneville motorcycles will serve as design cues for the Street Scrambler 400. Rather than being a contemporary classic, it is likely to get some modern touches. The styling will resemble a new retro Scrambler.

The motorcycle will sport a circular LED headlight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a sloped tail section, according to spy photos. The 19-inch front wheel and the beak-style front fender give the motorcycle a rugged appearance. It is safe to assume that the motorcycle will come equipped with Bluetooth connectivity. Along with a round digital instrument cluster and LED lighting. It might also come with a switchable dual-channel ABS system and a ride-by-wire throttle.

The motorcycle will sport offset-type USD forks and preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back. It should provide more suspension travel than its road-going counterparts. It is likely to have radial-mounted disc brakes on both ends.

Some sources suggest that the Triumph Street Scrambler will have two engine choices: a 250cc motor and a 400cc motor. The India-spec model is only going to be available at first with the 400cc engine.

The power figures haven't been released yet but the liquid-cooled motor may produce 35 to 40 bhp and a figure for torque that's close to that. The engine will be connected to a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch is going to be standard.

The price of the naked roadster is expected to be under Rs 3 lakh, while the scrambler may cost an extra few thousand rupees. The Yezdi Scrambler and the Royal Enfield Scram 411 will be the primary rivals of the Bajaj Triumph Street Scrambler 400. But it will also be up against the BMW G 310 R and the KTM 390 Duke.
