Bajaj Auto has introduced two new top variants for its popular Pulsar lineup, specifically for the Pulsar N150 and Pulsar N160 models. These additions aim to bring freshness to the formula, incorporating new technology and features. The Pulsar series holds a significant position in the Indian market, competing with rivals like TVS Apache, Suzuki Gixxer, and Yamaha FZ.
Key Updates and Pricing
The base models of the Pulsar N150 and N160, unchanged from the 2023 models, remain available at Rs. 1.18 lakh and Rs. 1.31 lakh, respectively. The new top variants are priced slightly higher, at Rs. 1.24 lakh for the Pulsar N150 and Rs. 1.33 lakh for the Pulsar N160. The top variant of Pulsar N150 now features rear disc brakes, justifying the increased price, while the Pulsar N160 gets dual-channel ABS as standard.
Updated Instrument Screen
The notable enhancement comes in the form of an updated fully digital instrument screen, available exclusively in the top variants. This LCD unit supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing synchronization with the Bajaj Ride Connect App. The connectivity unlocks various features such as call alerts, mobile notifications, mobile battery health, and mobile signal reception strength.
Bluetooth Connectivity and Bajaj Ride Connect App
The top variants of Pulsar N150 and N160 become the first Bajaj motorcycles to feature Bluetooth connectivity. The integration with the Bajaj Ride Connect App offers a range of functionalities, accessible through a dedicated "Mode" button on the left switchgear. While turn-by-turn navigation is not yet available, this move aligns Bajaj with the industry trend of incorporating smart features in motorcycles.
Powertrain and Componentry
The powertrains and other components remain consistent with the 2023 models, maintaining the existing performance characteristics.
With these new top variants and technological updates, Bajaj aims to keep the Pulsar lineup appealing to its target demographic, providing a fresh and connected riding experience. The introduction of Bluetooth connectivity marks a step forward in embracing smart features, addressing the evolving expectations of modern motorcycle enthusiasts.
