Audi is gearing up for the international debut of the Q6 e-tron on March 18. The introduction of this model will expand Audi's global electric vehicle (EV) portfolio to eight, offering a much-anticipated electric counterpart to the popular Q5 SUV.

Interior Highlights and Practicality

The interior of the Q6 e-tron is set to impress with its futuristic design and advanced technology. It features a curved, panoramic 14.5-inch infotainment display paired with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, there is a separate 10.9-inch screen for the passenger, integrated into the dashboard for enhanced functionality. The cabin is constructed using eco-friendly materials, with an emphasis on soft-touch surfaces. The Q6 e-tron offers ample storage with 526 liters of boot space, expandable to 1,529 liters with the rear seats folded, and a 64-liter 'frunk' for charging cables and small luggage.

Platform and Performance

Built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture developed in collaboration with Porsche, the Q6 e-tron shares many underpinnings with the upcoming Porsche Macan EV. The Q6 e-tron boasts an impressive maximum range of 600 km and supports rapid charging at rates of up to 270 kW, thanks to its 800V electrical architecture. While specific performance figures are yet to be announced, Audi has hinted that the Q6 e-tron Sportback will deliver a combined output of 470 hp and 800 Nm of peak torque from its dual-motor, four-wheel-drive powertrain, similar to the A6 Avant e-tron concept.

India Launch Expectations

Following its global unveiling on March 18, the Audi Q6 e-tron is anticipated to make its way to the Indian market shortly thereafter. Audi already offers several EVs in India, including the Q8 e-tron, Q8 e-tron Sportback, e-tron, e-tron Sportback, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT, and the Q6 e-tron will be a valuable addition to this lineup, providing a luxurious electric alternative to the Q5 SUV.
