Audi A1 Citycarver Cross-Hatch Officially Revealed

Audi has officially unveiled the A1 Citycarver, the urban crossover version of the A1 hatchback. The A1 Citycarver has been specifically designed as a more muscular and off-road version of the A1 hatchback though with more city-focused specifications. The off-roader features larger wheels and gets a revised suspension setup when compared to its standard variant. The A1 Citycarver rivals Ford Fiesta in the international markets. The customers can avail the A1 Citycarver in 9 different colour schemes with an option for grey or black roof. The stainless steel detailing on the body panels can be further had in all-black colour option. The crossover features a tough exterior body language and has been equipped with the same protective body kit that does the duty on all other AllRoad variants in Audi’s portfolio. The Citycarver has been equipped with contrasting wheel arches in addition to stainless-steel skid plate that is bound to improve its ergonomics and capability. The Audi A1 Citycarver features a matte black honeycomb grille at the front while the bonnet shut line features two identical slots resting in between that sets it apart from the regular A1 hatchback. Inspired from Audi Q2, the rear bumper of the Citycarver has been redesigned to offer a compact SUV like stance. Audi is likely to make the A1 Citycarver available with two powertrains namely: 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged 30TFSI engine that offers a maximum power of 115.5HP and a 1.5-litre 35TFSI engine that is good for 150HP. In terms of the interiors, the Citycarver features copper, mint, orange or grey trim accents while features a 10.1-inch infotainment system in addition to a sound system from Bang and Olufsen. The crossover gets a fully-digital instrument panel while gets all other premium offerings from the brand. The Citycarver can be further availed in three trims with the addition of larger alloy wheels, roof spoiler, and leather seats for the top-end premium S trim. The brand has also launched a special edition version of the crossover by the name A1 Citycarver Edition One. It has been specifically launched by the brand to celebrate the launch of its new model. The grey and orange combination with range-topping 18-inch alloy wheels makes the crossover look extraordinary. The A1 Citycarver will be available in the international markets shortly though, the brand is highly unlikely to launch the same in the Indian market.
