Ather Energy has finally launched the 450X electric scooter for INR 99,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The 450X comes equipped with new features and is more powerful than its predecessor Ather 450. The ex-showroom price at which this scooter has been launched is its base price and the owners will have to pay an additional INR 1,699 (Plus Plan) or INR 1,999 (Pro Plan) for the subscription service each month. However, the brand is also offering the Ather 450X super scooter with an upfront price tag of INR 1.49 lakh for the 450X Plus variant while the 450X Pro version is available at INR 1.59 lakh.

The above-mentioned prices include GST and FAME II incentive but excludes state subsidy, insurance, road tax and registration charges. The brand has introduced the Ather 450X with two different performance levels: Plus and Pro. The buyer can choose accordingly and has to make a monthly payment for the plan. One can also switch to a different performance level at any point of the ownership. The plan that you will opt will determine the amount of performance and range you will get.

In the Plus variant, the peak power of the motor is rated at 5.4kW which produces a torque of 22Nm. The scooter can accelerate from 0-40kmph in 3.6 seconds. The TrueRange stands at 70km in Eco mode and the fast charging of 10 minutes will allow the scooter to get a range of 10km. Under the Pro subscription plan, the Ather 450X will get a 6kW motor that churns out 26Nm of peak torque. The scooter can accelerate from 0-40kmph in just 3.3 seconds. The TrueRange in this plan stands at 85km in Eco mode. You will also get Bluetooth connectivity that will show call alerts on the display and also lets you control music. The claimed top speed of the scooter remains unchanged that is 80kmph. Under the Pro plan, the fast charging of 10 minutes will allow the 450X to get a range of 15km. The 2.9kWh Lithium-ion battery on the scooter takes 3 hours 35 minutes to charge up to 80% and 5 hours 45 minutes to reach 0-100%. Coming to the features, the Ather 450X super scooter gets an upgraded instrument console. It is powered by a Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor with integrated 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, and a new dark mode for round-the-clock visibility. For safety purpose, the scooter also gets a side-stand sensor. The Ather 450X is available in three colour namely White, Grey, and Mint. The electric scooter will be available across 10 cities in India starting with Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
