650cc Royal Enfield Twins Launched in the USA (Details & Price List)

650cc Royal Enfield Interceptor, along with the dedicated cafe racer Continental GT 650, is now officially available in the US market. The former is priced at $5,799 (INR 4.21 lakh approx) while the latter commands a price tag of $5,999 (INR 4.36 lakh approx). The effective placement of both the bikes may not feel as justified as other products around the segment in the US but for India, the lower international price tag means an even lower ex-showroom price. For the US market, Royal Enfield has priced the Continental GT 650 at the same price tag as Classic 500 Chrome, which retails for INR 1.96 lakh in the country. Sounds interesting but, may not be a reality for India as to why would they discontinue the 535cc cafe racer and launch an even bigger, twin cylinder option at that price tag? The mystery will soon be solved as reports are hinting at an official launch for both the bikes around November 2018. The price for the Indian market is expected to start around INR 3 lakh (ex-showroom). If by any 0.001% chance of possibility, they launch Interceptor 650 under INR 2 lakh, Royal Enfield will make survival harder for all possible motorcycles after Classic 350 and before Triumph Street Twin. The 648cc engine is said to bring 160 kph of top speed and mileage figure of 25.5 kmpl.

I want to buy a 650cc bike, which one is better - Hyosung GT650R or Kawasaki Ninja 650?

Both the bikes are good at their work and the stats show them nearly equal in performance. The Ninja 650R comes with a 649cc, 71 BHP engine whereas the GT650R comes with a 647 cc, 72.68 BHP engine. Both the bikes are awesome performers with the Ninja being 4 kg lighter to the rival. When it comes to riding quality, the Kawasaki Ninja has been a famous name for the quality it brings to its race bikes whereas Hyosung offers a good value for money approach. Kawasaki brings 3 NM more torque than the GT650R and i will suggest you to go for the Ninja 650R. It comes with much better riding dynamics and seating, making it good for every short and long ride.

Kawasaki Ninja 650R - Fun. Aggessive. Easy.
