Yamaha has recently unveiled the Aerox Version S, priced at Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi), featuring keyless ignition, a standout feature in its class. This advanced version joins the select group of scooters like Honda's H Smart variants offering keyless ignition at an accessible price point.
Keyless Ignition and Added Conveniences
The Yamaha Aerox Version S elevates convenience with its keyless ignition system, allowing riders to start the scooter without a traditional key. This is facilitated by a key fob that not only helps locate the scooter with a chirp and flashing indicators but also features a knob in place of the standard key slot. This knob can be turned to power the scooter on or off, with additional buttons provided to open the fuel cap and access under-seat storage seamlessly.
Pricing and Color Options
With an additional cost of Rs 3,000 over the standard Aerox, the Aerox Version S is available exclusively in Silver and Racing Blue. This makes it the most premium offering in Yamaha's scooter lineup, even surpassing the MotoGP color scheme variant by Rs 1,500.
Performance and Efficiency
Mechanically, the Aerox Version S maintains parity with the base model Aerox, ensuring the same ride quality and handling. Performance testing of the Aerox 155 has shown it to achieve fuel efficiency of 50.3 km/l in city conditions and 57.2 km/l on the highway, which are commendable figures for its engine size.
Modern scooter lovers find the Aerox Version S to be an appealing option since it combines revolutionary technologies from Yamaha with a stylish and convenient design.
