In a market seemingly dominated by SUVs, the allure of sedans continues to captivate car enthusiasts.

1. Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Evolution of Elegance

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is poised to make a statement with its refined styling changes, aligning closely with the aesthetics of the new Swift hatchback. Despite being a new-gen model, the sub-4m car is expected to retain its exterior design as the current model. The sedan will also debut with the new Z-Series engine and get a new dual-tone dashboard layout, an updated infotainment system, and come equipped with additional features. 

2. Skoda Octavia RS 245: Performance Redefined

The return of the RS badge with the Skoda Octavia RS 245 in 2024 promises a thrilling blend of performance and practicality.  While specific powertrain details are yet to be unveiled, anticipation is high for the punch-packed driving experience it is expected to deliver.  . The 2024 Octavia RS 245 is based on the fourth generation of the popular sedan and is expected to be brought in limited numbers. While confirmed powertrain details are not yet available, we reckon the RS 245 will pack in quite a punch. 

3. Volkswagen Virtus / Skoda Slavia: Year of Updates

The Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia, having made their market debut in 2021, are likely to receive a model year update for 2024. While retaining their distinct charm, these sedans might introduce new color options, special editions, and subtle cosmetic tweaks.   These sedans had their market debuts back in 2021. Some of the new updates could potentially include new colour options, updates to special editions and minor cosmetic tweaks. That said, the most significant revision could be the inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to stay competitive in their respective segments. 

4. Hyundai Ioniq 6: A Glimpse into the Future

Based on the innovative E-GMP platform, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 showcases a revolutionary design. Distinguished by its sleek, low-slung appearance, retro styling elements, and minimalist interior, this sedan stands out in the Hyundai lineup. Following its showcase at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo, the Ioniq 6 is set to redefine electric mobility, offering a claimed maximum range of 610 km in a single motor, rear-wheel-drive configuration.

5. Citroen C3X: The Sedan-Crossover Fusion

Citroen is set to introduce the C3X, a sedan-crossover, in 2024. Built on the CMP modular platform, similar to the C3 and C3 Aircross, this model will be available in both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicle (EV) versions. Boasting features and powertrain options akin to its predecessors, the C3X could also mark the debut of an all-electric variant with an enhanced battery pack, aligning with the growing trend of electrification.
