Kia has reinforced its presence in the compact SUV market with the launch of the updated 2024 Seltos in India. The Seltos facelift, introduced last year, has become one of the most popular SUVs in the country. The latest update introduces new variants and adds more features to mid-spec trims like HTK and HTK+ along with new color options starting from the base HTE trim.
2024 Kia Seltos Overview
The Seltos operates in India's highly competitive compact SUV segment, where Kia continually updates the model to align with evolving buyer preferences. The Seltos is offered in nine trim levels: HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+ (S), GTX+, X Line (S), and X Line. These trims come with three engine options and five gearbox choices.
The mid-spec HTK+ trim, particularly popular among Seltos buyers, now includes two new automatic transmission variants: HTK+ G1.5 Petrol IVT and HTK+ 1.5 CRDi Diesel AT. The HTK+ Petrol IVT variant is priced at Rs. 15.45 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable petrol automatic variant. The newly added HTK+ 1.5 CRDi Diesel AT variant is priced at Rs. 16.92 lakh (ex-showroom), becoming the most affordable diesel automatic variant. The Seltos redesign comes in a total of 26 variations giving customers a lot of choices.
Feature Updates
The 2024 Seltos brings more features to the mid-spec HTK and HTK+ trims. Notable additions to the HTK+ trim include a panoramic sunroof, LED front map lamps, ice-cube LED reading lamps, LED-connected tail lights, and a leatherette-wrapped D-cut steering wheel with the Seltos logo. This trim also gains drive modes/traction control modes, and automatic variants are equipped with paddle shifters.
The HTE trim now offers five new color options: Gravity Grey, Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Intense Red, and Aurora Black, which are also available for the HTK+ trim. The HTK trim receives star map LED DRLs, a smart key with push-button engine start/stop, remote engine start/stop, and LED-connected tail lights. Additionally, all variants now come with a 180W charger. The powertrains remain unchanged.

In the refreshed 2024 Seltos, we have made our most popular variant – HTK+ even more attractive with additions of top-end premium features like Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof. Recognizing a significant demand for Automatic Transmission in the HTK+, ranging from 20-35%, we've introduced IVT and 6AT transmissions, amplifying Seltos overall appeal. Moreover, the strategic optimization of other variants by integrating new premium features will help us in aiding sales & growing the segment further.
