2024 Honda Fireblade: A Blend of Style and Performance

The 2024 Honda Fireblade, also known as the CBR1000RR-R, has been unveiled with significant updates that solidify its position as a flagship model in Honda's super sports CBR series. With a starting price of 2,486,000 yen (approx. Rs 13.75 lakh), the new Fireblade is set to captivate enthusiasts with its blend of advanced technology and striking design.

Enhanced Aesthetics and Aerodynamics

The 2024 Honda Fireblade retains its core silhouette but introduces newly designed winglets, middle cowl, and under cowl to improve aerodynamics. These visual enhancements are functionally relevant, as they work to optimize the bike's airflow for better performance. The sporty fairing, adorned with exciting graphics and decals, remains one of the key USPs of the bike. Both the standard and SP variants are available in the Grand Prix Red color option, with the standard version featuring black USD forks and the SP variant sporting golden USD forks. The SP variant also offers an additional shade of Matte Pearl Morion Black.

Two-Motor Throttle-By-Wire System

The 2024 Fireblade is Honda's first bike to feature a new two-motor throttle-by-wire (TBW) system. This innovative system allows independent control of the dual cylinder pairs, resulting in more precise throttle response and improved engine performance. The two motors work to open and close the throttle valve, enabling finer control over the engine's power delivery.

Engine and Performance Upgrades

Both the standard and SP variants are powered by a 999cc, liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC 4-valve parallel 4-cylinder engine, producing 218 PS of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and the bike has a mileage of 15.4 km/l as per WMTC standards. The standard edition weighs 200 kg, while the SP variant is 1 kg heavier. Honda has introduced changes in the camshaft's valve timing and lift, as well as the shape of the piston head, to improve the compression ratio from 13.4 to 13.6. These updates enhance acceleration performance in the medium speed range and provide better engine response and follow-up performance.

SP Variant: Exclusive Features

The SP variant of the 2024 Honda Fireblade comes equipped with additional features such as a quick shifter, Brembo front brake caliper, and Ohlins electronically controlled suspension. It also calculates and displays the ideal preload values for the front and rear suspension based on the rider's weight, ensuring optimal handling and comfort.
