Hero MotoCorp has released an improved version of the 2023 Xpulse 200 4V. The base variant costs Rs 1.44 lakh, while the new top-end PRO variant costs Rs 1.51 lakh. The Xpulse 200 4V PRO variation is the Rally Edition of the previous version. The base variation receives a Rs 5,000 price increase over the previous model.
Hero MotoCorp has launched new colourways with the new model. Hero has preserved the Matte Nexus Blue and Polestar Blue colour schemes but inverted them with Sports Red and its equal Black elements. Despite its lack of displacement, it competes with the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Yezdi Adventure.
Hero Motocor unveils a brand-new headlamp unit with two low-beam projectors and an 'H' LED signature. Hero claims that the MY2023 improvement would result in headlights that are 235% more effective than 4Vs, which were 15% brighter than 2Vs.
The new switchgear, windscreen, and thicker knuckle guards are also excellent enhancements. The knuckle protectors were only attached to one side and were considered weak. Hero is now producing higher-quality knuckle guards with fasteners on both ends. Windscreen is 60 mm taller, providing extra protection from wind blows.
Hero provides three ABS modes: Road, Off-Road, and Rally. In Rally Mode, these modes change the ABS intervention and are the least invasive. Another useful feature is the quick fuel economy reading. The same single-cylinder 199.6cc engine powers the 2023 Xpulse 200 4V. The motor produces a max power of 19.1 horsepower and 17.35 Nm of peak torque. The 4V head and oil cooling are noteworthy characteristics.
Apart from the ABS modes, the rest of the componentry remains the same. The base variant features the same conventional telescopic front and mono-shock rear suspension. The 21" front and 18" rear wire-spoke wheels and Ceat A/T tyres. Hero has equipped the PRO variant with compression & rebound adjustable front and rebound & preload adjustable rear suspension, a longer suspension travel, Maxxis knobby tyres, 270mm ground clearance and more.
