2021 Hyundai Elantra Luxury Sedan Officially Unveiled

The 2021 Hyundai Elantra has been recently debuted in the USA and features a rather bold design language. The brand has offered the seventh-gen Elantra with an all-new design language when compared to the last-gen version. The updated sedan now resembles a four-door coupe and features a new facet of the brand’s 'Sensuous Sportiness' design theme that has been officially christened as “Parametric Dynamics”. Coming to the front fascia, the updated sedan now features a Hyundai Sonata-inspired ‘Parametric-jewel-pattern” cascading grille which will be also seen on the brand’s other premium offerings in the future. The sporty look of the sedan is further accentuated with all-new LED headlamps that merge on the grille at the front and form a single unit. The sharper chin spoiler at the front adds to the coupe-like structure while the 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels complete its dramatic design language. The brand has further offered the 2021 Hyundai Elantra with a Fastrack rear style language with the sharp roofline flowing towards the back. The LED taillights at the rear merge with the LED light bar that results in a “Flying H logo” whenever they light up. The overall length of the sedan has been increased by a total of 56mm while the wheelbase of the sedan is now up by 20mm. Apart from this, the ground clearance of the 2021 Hyundai Elantra has been decreased by 20mm when compared to the outgoing model. On the inside, the updated Elantra has been equipped with a redesigned dashboard unit in addition to getting a four-spoke steering wheel. The brand has further equipped the top-spec variants of the sedan with twin 10.25-inch touchscreens which include a fully-digital instrument panel and a floating infotainment system. The sedan has been further equipped with a host of additional safety features as well as driver-assist systems in addition to getting Hyundai’s Blue Link connecting app technology. The 2021 Hyundai Elantra will be available with the same 2.0-litre inline-four petrol engine that is good for 147bhp and 264Nm while the brand has also offered an all-new 1.6-litre hybrid powertrain to the sedan that will offer 139bhp and 179Nm while promising a fuel efficiency of 21.3kmpl. The brand is expected to launch the 2021 Hyundai Elantra sometime in the next year with a price range of around INR 16-20 lakhs (ex-showroom). Once launched in India, the sedan will compete in the market with the likes of Honda Civic, Skoda Octavia, and Toyota Corolla Altis.
