2020 Yamaha NMAX 155 Premium Scooter Officially Unveiled

2020 Yamaha NMAX 155 Premium Scooter Revealed: In the recent updates coming from Yamaha, we found out that the brand has unboxed the latest version of the well-known scooter NMAX in Indonesia.  Christened as NMAX 155 'Connected' ABS, the launch of the scooter was facilitated at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on December 2, 2019. Speaking of the mechanical details of the 2020 NMAX, the scooter is powered by an all-new version of the engine that consists of Blue Core technology and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and such technologies keep the engine fuel efficient along with giving max power and torque figures. Some of the key features of the 2020 Yamaha NMAX 155 include a Stop & Start System (SSS) to maintain excellent mileage, a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) that makes the motor sound smoother and the new model of the scooter is also equipped with a Traction Control System (TCS). All these best-in-class features make the NMAX a one-of-a-kind scooter in its segment. Some of the premium features of the NMAX 155 'Connected' ABS include:
  • Smart Key System (SKS), which is a keyless ignition system
  • Electric Power Socket (EPS) to charge the riders' smartphone
  • Dual-Channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
  • Multifunction full digital instrument console that performs with Y-Connect indicator
  • Yamaha Motorcycle Connect App (YMCA) for smartphone connectivity

Technically, the 2020 Yamaha NMAX 155 is powered by a 155cc, SOHC, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 15.1HP @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a V-belt automatic transmission. The scooter is equipped with a 110/70-13 front tyre and a 130/70-13 rear tyre. For braking performance, the updated model of the NMAX 155 features disc brakes at either end, which are further mated to a 2-channel ABS unit as standard. The suspension duties of the maxi-scooter are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. As of now, the pricing details of the 2020 Yamaha NMAX 155 has not been disclosed in the Indonesian market. If the scooter is ever brought to the Indian shores then it can be expected to get a price tag of around INR 1 lakh (approximately).
