2019 Yamaha YZF-R3: This is What it Could Look Like

2019 Yamaha R25 has appeared online through two neat renderings by Motoblast. As R3 and R25 have same design, the 2019 Yamaha R3 will also get the same styling and appearance update. As everyone was expecting, they have finished this one with Yamaha R6 and R15 inspired components and made some major changes in the overall stance of Yamaha R25. A working prototype of R25 was spotted by Motoblast, hinting that Yamaha has already started testing the product. All other models have received this design as well as performance update. Apart from detailing some expected cosmetic enhancements, Yamaha R3 is also expected to carry a more powerful engine that could bring tougher competition to recently launched Ninja 400 in India. Exactly same changes will also be seen on Asia spec Yamaha R25 as both are based on the same frame and different engine. Most important update from Yamaha could be the use of USD front forks that are thicker and much more crisp in handling than the present generation bike. This would also mean that relaxed riding may be a thought of old days for 2019 Yamaha R3. Present generation motorcycle is known for not so aggressive seating and powerful engine but next generation could be more sporty with dedicated position and use of better parts. Expected power value from R3 will be around 46 HP, putting it directly against more powerful options from both Kawasaki and Honda. Torque may also witness a marginal rise. Console on 2019 Yamaha R3 will be full LCD unit against the present generation semi-digital one. Yamaha will launch the 2019 R3 in India a few months later than its global unveiling. That time will help buyers decide between all potential rivals as Kawasaki may even bring down pricing of Ninja 400 due to increased localization. Honda may also consider CBR250RR due to rising interest of buyers in entry-level twin cylinder options. Yamaha will keep their traditional Blue and Black shade options alive on their 2019 variant. Even the renderings seen here are finished in Yamaha Blue shade. Images Source: MotoBlast
