2017 Honda CB Hornet 160R has been launched in India for INR 81,113 (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle is BS4 compliant and comes with AHO (auto headlight on) as standard. Apart from the mandatory changes, the motorcycle still retails in two different edition and single as well as double disc brake option. However, those two limited edition shades have been kept the same (Striking Green, Mars Orange). Sports Red and Athletic Blue Metallic gets added stickers while remaining shades have been discontinued from the official website. blue-hornet

The motorcycle measures 2041 mm in length, 783 mm in width and 1067 mm in height. It's muscular stance is further improved by a 1346 mm of wheelbase. The ground clearance of 164 mm makes it good for all kinds of roads in the country. The standard version of the new CB Hornet 160R weighs 138 kg while CBS variant carries 2 extra kgs over the former. Honda offer 12 liters of fuel carrying capacity with the Hornet 160R. The most surprising fact for the 2017 variant of the motorcycle is the decrease in overall power output. red-hornet Honda's 162.71 cc, single cylinder air cooled engine is now good for 15.04 BHP at 8500 rpm and 14.76 Nm at 6500 rpm. In comparison, the BS3 model used to develop 15.66 Bhp. CB Hornet comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and claims a top speed of 110 kmph on the 2017 variant. The front petal disc measures 276 mm while the rear disc (optional) is 220 mm in diameter. The tyres are tubeless, front measuring 100/80-17 while the rear being 140/70-17. It still uses the 35/35W bulb for the front headlight. Few weeks back, Honda even declared a power decrease in CB Unicorn 160 (same engine, different tune).
