200cc Bajaj-Triumph Motorcycle India Launch Delayed

200cc Bajaj-Triumph Motorcycle India Launch Delayed: India’s number one giant in the two-wheeler industry, Bajaj Auto landed into an exciting partnership with Triumph to jointly manufacture entry-level premium motorcycles. This partnership would bring forth the development of a range of Triumph mid-displacement motorcycles, which would be manufactured by Bajaj Auto. One of the biggest highlights of the year 2020 was the alliance of Bajaj-Triumph and the first motorcycle to be produced by them would be priced around INR 2 lakhs (ex-showroom). As Triumph is known for its costly premium motorcycles, it was indeed hard to believe the pricing of the motorcycle to be around INR 2 lakhs. As per the latest details available, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the official launch of the 1st Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle has been delayed till 2023. It is now likely that the first motorcycle of their alliance will make a world debut in the year 2023. It was originally slotted for the year 2022 but Bajaj is sorting and working hard to know if the market conditions are going to significantly improve this year. As per their partnership plans, both the brands have decided to manufacture and develop motorcycles in the range of 200cc to 700cc displacement. Triumph has decided to develop and design these motorcycles in the United Kingdom while Bajaj will be manufacturing the motorcycles here in India using their expertise in cost-effective strategy in manufacturing. It was initially stated in the reports that the 1st Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle will be a roadster powered by a 200cc-250cc single-cylinder engine. It is important to know that Triumph will help Bajaj establish the brand in large-volume markets of Asia and South America, where cost plays a very significant role. Source
