Yamaha can launch the 125cc engine with carburetor setting to save on pricing and even employ this 125cc motor under the fairing of popular Fascino and Ray ZR to get the maximum benefits of part sharing. On the other hand, FreeGo can itself arrive in the country with 1905mm of length, 690mm width and 1100mm of overall height. It weighs just 100 kilograms and brings 25-liter of under seat storage with 4.2-liter fuel carrying capacity. Yamaha can further implement cost-cutting through smaller tires for India. The expected price for a 125cc Yamaha scooter falls between INR 58,000-60,000 as they already have 110cc options over INR 55,000. The base version seen in Indonesia costs RP 18.5 million (INR 90,000 approx) while the top spec model comes with ABS for RP 22.5 million (INR 1.09 lakh). The same pricing will not be applicable, in case the brand plans to bring FreeGo into India.
