The Hyundai Xcent, including its S Automatic variant, has been removed from Hyundais India website, indicating that the model is no longer in production or available for purchase in the Indian market. This move follows the introduction of the Hyundai Aura, which has replaced the Xcent as the companys sub-4 meter sedan offering. I think this is a strategic move to keep the product lineup fresh and competitive.

Hyundai had updated the Xcent with additional safety features, including ABS and EBD across all variants, along with dual front airbags. This update was part of the companys effort to enhance safety standards in their vehicles. For the S Automatic variant, this meant improved safety without any mechanical changes. I believe these safety features were a significant step forward for the Xcent.

The Hyundai Xcent S Automatic was available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. This combination offered a balance between performance and fuel efficiency, with a claimed mileage of 17.36 kmpl. I think the automatic transmission made the Xcent a convenient option for city driving.

Hyundai introduced a facelifted version of the Xcent in April 2017, which included the S Automatic variant. This update brought several cosmetic changes, new features, and the introduction of a new 1.2-litre diesel engine, although the petrol automatic remained unchanged. I believe the facelift gave the Xcent a more modern and appealing look.

The Hyundai Xcent S Automatic featured a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and MirrorLink connectivity, along with other comfort features like rear AC vents and a driver seat height-adjuster. These features enhanced the overall driving experience and passenger comfort. I think these features made the Xcent a strong contender in its segment.
