USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The 2023 Hyundai Verna petrol is a significant improvement over its predecessors and stands out as a robust contender in the midsize sedan segment. With its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, it delivers class-leading power and torque, making it a joy to drive, especially when paired with the 7-speed DCT or the 6-speed manual transmission. The cars design, though polarizing, grows on you, and the interior is packed with premium features, including a generous bump in rear-seat space and advanced safety features like Level 2 ADAS. While the steering lacks feedback at high speeds, the overall driving experience is smooth and refined. The Vernas ability to handle both city and highway driving with ease, along with its comfortable ride quality, makes it an excellent choice for those seeking a versatile and powerful sedan.
Price
The 2023 Hyundai Verna petrol is priced competitively in the Indian market. The base variant of the 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine starts at around Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-spec SX(O) trim with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and 7-speed DCT transmission goes up to Rs 17.42 lakh (ex-showroom). On-road prices vary by state but generally add around Rs 1.5 to Rs 2 lakh to the ex-showroom price, depending on local taxes and other charges. This pricing strategy positions the Verna favorably against its rivals, offering a strong value proposition with its extensive feature list and powerful engine options.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 03:14 AM The mileage of the 2023 Hyundai Verna petrol is respectable, especially considering its powerful engine. In real-world conditions, the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with the DCT transmission returns around 12-13 kmpl in city driving and up to 14-15 kmpl on the highway. The naturally aspirated 1.5-litre MPi engine offers slightly lower mileage but still manages around 10-12 kmpl in city use. These figures make the Verna a viable option for those concerned about running costs, though they are somewhat lower than what the ARAI certified figures suggest.

Discussions and Questions Hyundai Verna Petrol

Hyundai Verna petrol (2014 model) vs. Honda City VX diesel (2015)?
28 December 2022 13:13

The 2014 Verna 1.6 SX would be a winner if considered from the performance point of view. It comes with a much responsive 1591 cc, 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 121.4 BHP @ 6300 rpm and 154.94 NM @ 4200 rpm. The Verna comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and returns a 13-14 kmpl mileage. On the other hand the Honda City diesel VX diesel is a mileage oriented car with 25.1 kmpl of certified mileage. The Honda City comes with a 1.5 L engine producing 98.6 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 200 NM @ 1,750 rpm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission. The Verna would easily get away with its high power output whereas both will compete tough on the top speed end.

I am using a 2009 MALCN41VR9M078737 Verna CRDi my problem with this vehicle is low clearance I changed my tyre size to 205/60R14 for better comfort and road grip. Now road clearance is very low than before. I need some solution to raise the high of both front and back I heard suspension studs and rear coil spring studs in extra large size are available to resolve the issue if so where can I find them regards

Best Features: Very good suspension very good ac compressor

Pros: The breaks are perfect economically very convenient sedan

Cons: Should increase little bit road clearance and roof top high and smoother gearshift
