Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda NSX is a marvel of modern automotive engineering, blending stunning looks, incredible performance, and a unique hybrid powertrain. What sets it apart is its ability to be both a docile daily driver and a fierce track monster. The NSX offers a driving experience that is both smooth and silent in city mode, yet brutally fast and engaging in sport mode. However, its high price and limited availability might deter some buyers. Despite this, the NSX is a spectacularly geeky supercar that stands out from its competitors with its clever use of technology and balanced performance. For those who can afford it, the NSX provides a unique ownership experience that is hard to match.
Price
In India, the Honda NSX comes with a hefty price tag, expected to be around 3,00,00,000 ex-showroom in Delhi. When you factor in the various taxes and registration costs, the on-road price can easily exceed 3,50,00,000. This makes the NSX one of the most expensive cars available in the Indian market. However, for those who are willing to invest in a piece of automotive art, the NSX offers a level of exclusivity and performance that justifies its premium pricing. The cost, while steep, reflects the advanced technology, high-performance capabilities, and the exclusivity that comes with owning such a rare and sophisticated vehicle.
Latest Updates
Thursday, 22 August 2024 03:17 PM
Honda has confirmed plans for an electric sports car inspired by the NSX, set to launch in 2027 or 2028. The vehicle will be based on Hondas new 0-series electric car platform, which emphasizes a thin and light design approach to achieve a lower height and larger cabin. This new platform will first debut in an electric sedan in 2026. I think this could be a game-changer for electric sports cars if they can maintain the NSXs performance legacy.

At the Monterey Car Week, Hondas Global Executive Vice President, Shinji Aoyama, announced that the upcoming electric sports car may not be called an NSX but will be an NSX-type of vehicle. It will be powered by Hondas 0 Series electric architecture and built at the Acura Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio. This move marks a significant shift towards electric performance cars for Honda. I believe the Ohio production facility will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of this new model.

The new electric NSX successor is expected to benefit from Hondas thin and lightweight battery design, allowing for a lower vehicle height and a more spacious cabin. Aoyama emphasized that the development approach focuses on making the platform thinner than existing vehicles, which could enhance the overall driving experience. This innovative approach could set a new standard for electric sports cars.

Acura has teased a concept for an EV that looks like a future evolution of the NSX, known as the Acura Electric Vision Design. This concept was developed to inspire Acuras design staff working on the brands future electric lineup. The actual production model is expected to retain the high-performance standards of its predecessors while transitioning to electric power. I think the design cues from this concept will be crucial in maintaining the NSXs iconic look.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 05:08 AM
The Honda NSX, with its hybrid powertrain, offers a relatively efficient driving experience despite its high-performance credentials. However, mileage is not its strong suit. Given its 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and three electric motors, the NSX is more about performance than fuel efficiency. In real-world conditions, you can expect mileage to be around 5-7 kml, which is reasonable considering the cars power output. Running costs will be higher due to the complex hybrid system and the need for premium fuel, but for those who prioritize performance over economy, the NSX is still a compelling choice.
