The 2007 Honda City facelift was launched in India, bringing several cosmetic and feature updates. The new model included a redesigned front grille, new headlamps, and revised bumpers. Additionally, the interior saw minor changes, including the addition of an armrest for the driver and new map lights. This facelift aimed to keep the Honda City competitive in the Indian market. I think these updates were a good move to refresh the model without altering its core appeal.

Honda announced the prices for the 2007 City facelift in India, starting at Rs. 6.7 lakh for the base model and going up to Rs. 8.5 lakh for the top variant. This pricing strategy was aimed at maintaining the cars affordability while offering enhanced features. The price point seemed competitive, given the upgrades and the cars reputation for reliability.

The 2007 Honda City facelift retained its reliable 1.5-liter i-DSI and VTEC engines, but saw improvements in the intake manifold design, which lowered the intake air temperature. The CVT gearbox continued to be an option, simulating a 7-speed automatic transmission. These tweaks enhanced the cars performance and efficiency. I believe these engine updates were crucial in maintaining the Citys performance edge.

Honda introduced dual front airbags as standard across all variants of the 2007 City facelift in India. This move was part of Hondas commitment to improving safety features in their vehicles. The addition of airbags was a significant step, especially considering the growing emphasis on safety in the Indian automotive market.
