Thursday, 07 September 2023 08:24 PM The Ford Classic CLXi continues to be a strong contender in the Indian market, outperforming its replacement model, the new Fiesta, in terms of monthly sales. This re-badged and re-positioned previous generation Fiesta is known for its reassuring build, excellent driving dynamics, and responsive engines. Despite its dated looks and cramped rear seat, it remains a viable option for driving enthusiasts on a budget. I believe its performance and affordability make it a great choice for those seeking a reliable sedan.

This move is part of Fords strategy to penetrate deeper into the entry-level sedan segment. The Classic sedan is available with a 1.6-liter petrol engine and a 1.4-liter turbo diesel engine, and prices start at Rs. 5.99 lakh for the petrol base variant and Rs. 7.26 lakh for the diesel base variant. I think this limited edition will help Ford clear inventory and meet market demands effectively.
Wednesday, 14 June 2023 03:16 PM Ford has unveiled a new limited edition of the Classic CLXi variant, which includes several features previously available only on the top-end Titanium models. This limited edition comes with front fog lamps, a rear spoiler, reverse parking sensors, chrome finish on the grill and interior, and 175/65 14-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tires. These additions make the car more appealing to entry-level C-segment sedan buyers. I think these upgrades will definitely attract more customers looking for a stylish and feature-packed sedan.

The car also comes in a new body color, Colorado Red. These updates make the Classic more attractive and affordable, with petrol variants starting at Rs. 549,030 and diesel variants at Rs. 648,000. I believe these cosmetic updates will enhance the cars appeal to potential buyers.

The Ford Classic is available in both petrol and diesel options, with the Titanium petrol starting at Rs. 6.86 lakh. The Titanium variant features beige interiors and retains the same 1.6-liter Duratec petrol and 1.4-liter Duratorq diesel engines. I think this rebranding and pricing strategy will help Ford regain market share in the sedan segment.
