Will the Himalayan 450's less expensive price tag and slightly lower feature set cannibalize sales from the Bear 650's more premium features?

I am actually confused now as someone in the market for an ADV bike. For my mostly on-road use, the Bear 650 seems more attractive.

The Himalayan 450 has an edge in true off road capability. It will still be preferred by real adventure riders over the heavier Bear 650.

I think RE is smart to provide options. Not everyone needs a full ADV bike like the Himalayan, but they still desire something that looks rugged.

Marketing is going to be the difference. RE can coexist without too much overlap if they position these bikes correctly.
How does the Z500's real world fuel consumption compare to what Kawasaki says?

On my daily commute, I’m averaging about 65 mpg, and that’s pretty close to what Kawasaki claims. For a 500cc bike with decent power, not bad!

I ride all over the place and my fuel economy varies wildly. If I'm easy on the throttle I can get close to 70 mpg. It gets around 50 mpg when I'm riding hard, but.

My Z500's fuel efficiency is a little bit of a let down. I'm only averaging about 55 mpg when mixed riding. I expected better from a bike this size.

The trick is to keep the revs low. Cruise at moderate speeds and short shift, and you can easily exceed Kawasaki's claimed figures.

In the city, I've found it to be great on fuel efficiency but in the highway, it's not so great. The mileage really suffers from wind resistance at higher speeds.

After 5000 miles I'm averaging 62 mpg. It's not as good as Kawasaki claims, but it's pretty impressive given the level of performance you're getting.

With more fuel usage than my old 250 CC bike, but worth the extra power. As far as performance and economy balance is concerned, I am happy.
So is the Aerox 155 worth the premium over your regular scooters?
07 January 2025 10:28
Absolutely worth it! Basically, the Aerox is a sports bike in scooter form. The R15 level performance without the hassle of gears is what you get. Ideal for commuting through city traffic, or weekend jaunts.
So is the Aerox 155 worth the premium over your regular scooters?
07 January 2025 10:28
It's honestly overkill for most people. Yeah, it’s fun, but a normal 110cc scooter will do the job just fine for daily commutes and grocery runs for half the price.
So is the Aerox 155 worth the premium over your regular scooters?
07 January 2025 10:28
It’s dependent on what you value. The Aerox is great if you want something unique and like spirited riding. If you’re just after practical transport, there are cheaper alternatives that make more sense.
So is the Aerox 155 worth the premium over your regular scooters?

There’s a premium for the build quality and the features it offers. You get better suspension, wider tires and more powerful brakes. It has nothing to do with the engine, it's the whole package.

If you mix some city and highway riding I'd say it's worth it. It’s far more versatile than a regular scooter thanks to the extra power and stability at higher speeds.
Can the MG Hector Plus justify the price premium over its 5 seater sibling?

The extra seats are really a game changer for my family. They're worth what we pay for them, because we use them often enough.
Can the MG Hector Plus justify the price premium over its 5 seater sibling?
07 January 2025 09:30
I wish I hadn't just gotten the 5 seater. I think the extra row is rarely used and it’s not worth the price bump.
Can the MG Hector Plus justify the price premium over its 5 seater sibling?
07 January 2025 09:30
It depends on your needs. If you need 7 seats regularly, then yes. If not, skip the money and get the standard Hector.
Can the MG Hector Plus justify the price premium over its 5 seater sibling?

It’s not just the extra seats that make the Plus feel more premium overall. It’s worth it for me thanks to the interior upgrades.
