It's all about aerodynamics. The lessons learned from shaping these high speed extreme vehicles can then be applied to make everyday cars more efficient.

The truth is, these cars only have impact on Instagram. They are designed for likes, not for progress in technology.

You're all missing the point. By pushing the limits of what’s legally allowed on the road, these cars could eventually cause changes in regulations that apply to all kinds of cars.
Does Bajaj Platina 125's "ComforTec" technology actually make any difference to the ride quality?
29 January 2025 09:47
It's not marketing fluff, ComforTec is definitely a thing. To put it simply, I had been riding a Hero Splendor and the ride quality is night and day, especially on pothole ridden roads, when I switched to the Platina 125.
Does Bajaj Platina 125's "ComforTec" technology actually make any difference to the ride quality?

It's noticeable, but not game-changing. Compared with the older Fazer 8, the seat is too soft for longer rides for my liking, but the longer wheelbase does help with stability. The first hour is comfortable, then a bit uncomfortable.

People overhype ComforTec, I think. It’s comfy for a budget bike, but it’s not like riding on a cloud. Any bike with decent suspension will be comfortable. It is just a fancy name given by Bajaj.

The suspension setup is the real MVP of ComforTec. It is perfectly tuned for Indian roads. The Platina soaks up bumps better than bikes twice as expensive I’ve ridden.

If you’re coming from an older or cheaper bike, ComforTec makes a huge difference. Now, compared to something like the Honda SP 125, the difference is not that much. It's good, but not class-leading.
Does Bajaj Platina 125's "ComforTec" technology actually make any difference to the ride quality?
29 January 2025 09:47
I’ve ridden the Platina 125 for over 30,000 km as someone who’s ridden it, and ComforTec does hold up well over time. It loses the initial softness but it's more comfortable than most bikes in its class.
Does Bajaj Platina 125's "ComforTec" technology actually make any difference to the ride quality?

The problem with ComforTec is that it makes the bike wallow a little in corners. It's comfortable, but it's not exactly sharp handling wise. It's not something everyone is going to love.
But is the comfort on the Bajaj Platina 100 really as good as Bajaj claims it to be with their "ComforTec" technology?
29 January 2025 09:29
The ComforTec isn't just hype. I shifted from a Hero Splendor and the difference in the ride quality is very noticeable, especially on bad roads.
But is the comfort on the Bajaj Platina 100 really as good as Bajaj claims it to be with their "ComforTec" technology?

It's ok for 100cc bike, but don't expect miracles. You will still feel it in your back after an hour of riding.
But is the comfort on the Bajaj Platina 100 really as good as Bajaj claims it to be with their "ComforTec" technology?

The seat is the weak point. The seat padding is thin, and negates a lot of the comfort benefit on long rides, but the suspension is good.

My friend's Honda CD 110 is more comfortable than I am. The setup with spring in spring really helps to absorb small bumps.

ComforTec is overrated. My old Discover was more comfortable. Faster and the Platina feels too softly sprung and wallowy.

For city commuting, it's great. On highways, however, the lack of weight makes it feel unstable, negating any comfort advantages.
But is the comfort on the Bajaj Platina 100 really as good as Bajaj claims it to be with their "ComforTec" technology?
29 January 2025 09:29
It's all relative. The Platina feels like a cloud coming from a motorcycle with a stiffer setup. At the end of the day, it's still a budget commuter.
So does the Bajaj Discover 100M's "DTS-i" technology really make a difference?
29 January 2025 07:29
I honestly believe it's mostly hype. My friend's Hero Splendor gets decent mileage but not as good as my Discover.
So does the Bajaj Discover 100M's "DTS-i" technology really make a difference?
29 January 2025 07:29
I have owned single and twin spark Bajaj bikes. I get about 5-7 km/l more and the DTS-i definitely feels much smoother. It's subtle, but it's there.
So does the Bajaj Discover 100M's "DTS-i" technology really make a difference?
29 January 2025 07:29
As a former engineering student, I can tell you that the theory behind DTS i is solid. In the real world, so many things impact mileage it's difficult to separate it out.
