With so many modern alternatives, is the Bullet 350 worth buying?
In recent years, the motorcycle market in India has grown by leaps and bounds with a spread of choices across a variety of segments and price points. Yet the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 remains in good stead and is still well loved. But it's not just product features that are questioned; some wonder if the appeal is really all about nostalgia and brand image. They are often used to compare with more modern bikes which sell better performance, improved technology and perhaps better value for money. The result has been a debate over whether the Bullet 350’s distinct character and heritage are enough to warrant its purchase in today’s market, or if the bike has fallen behind the competition when it comes to what it provides to riders.
Absolutely worth it! The Bullet 350 is a bike that gives a riding experience that you cannot experience in modern bikes. No wonder we don’t care about top speed or gadgets, it’s all about the feeling of riding history. Also, the new J series engine makes it much more reliable for daily use.
To be quite honest, I believe the Bullet is outdated. You can get bikes with better performance, more features, and modern safety tech, for the same price. But when you’re stuck in traffic or on long rides, the nostalgia factor only goes so far.
That all depends on what you’re looking for. If you want the latest tech and performance, you’re looking in the wrong place. If you want a bike with character and a strong community, and easy customisation, the Bullet is still hard to beat. It’s not just transportation, it’s a lifestyle.
I would say, it's still worth it, but not as your only bike. The Bullet is a great bike for leisurely rides and turning heads, but I wouldn’t want it as my daily commuter. It’s a second bike for enthusiasts.
The Bullet is still a place, but RE needs to up their game. The basic design is timeless, but they need to put a few modern touches to it. A little bit of power, better brakes, and some basic tech go a long way.
