Why does the KTM 250 XC-F have cold start issues?

It's just KTM being KTM. You gotta learn the quirks, like using the cold start knob and not touching the throttle.
Never had an issue with mine. They probably don’t maintain them properly.

From the factory, the ECU mapping is too lean. Most of the time it’s just a simple reflash to fix it.

In really cold climates, the problem is worse. If you live in a place where it’s warm, you probably won’t notice.
