Each motorcycle is unique to itself, and the KTM RC 200 GP is no different. Often, there are challenges or quirks in these bikes that have no signs of showing up when you take the motorcycle out for the first test ride or are reading specifications. These could be as simple as maintenance issues, or peculiar handling traits, or unexpected limitations or strengths in some riding situations. These experiences are discussed to help persuade prospectiv buyers to prepare for ownership or to share solutions or workarounds with current owners. It can also give you insight into the bike's long-term ownership experience, which is a very different kettle of fish from first impressions. These may be minor things or major things that impact the overall satisfaction with the bike and so are essential topics for anyone mulling over the RC 200 GP.

This can really take its toll on your wrists and back. To ride comfortably for long periods, you need to build up core strength.

It is time-consuming to clean all the nooks and crannies in the fairing. This is not a bike for lazy owners.

Surprisingly weak is the low-end torque. City riding requires you to keep the revs up to really get the best out of it.

It gets way more attention than I thought it would. You will have random people wanting photos and rides.

The front brake is super sensitive. I had to get used to it without doing stoppies by accident.

It’s a real pain because there’s no storage space. It's hard enough to fit a small toolkit.

If you ride it hard, it's a bit of a fuel guzzler. That small tank also means more stops for fuel on long rides.

The stock mirrors are pretty worthless. You see less of the traffic behind you and more of your elbows.

Surprisingly, finding a helmet that didn't interfere with the aggressive riding position was surprisingly tricky.

In stop-and-go traffic, the heat from the engine is intense. Soon after, your legs feel like they’re in an oven.
